Shipping & Delivery Policy

How long does it take to receive my order?

Party Products Australia prides itself on speedy processing and shipping of all orders. We have dedicated picking and packing teams to ensure your order is processed in a timely manner.

We pay particular attention to the ‘Special Event Date’ specified by you during the checkout process and every effort is made to ensure we meet this request. We will notify you by email only as soon as we can if we are unable to meet this event date. We will use all reasonable efforts to get your party supplies delivered to you within the date set by you.

Shipping Time Frames within Australia

*NB: Please check below for postage times as to whether you need to select Express Postage.

After we receive confirmation of your order with full payment, your order is packed within 1 – 2 business days. All orders are shipped promptly from our Sydney warehouse and delivered to most mainland east coast Australian cities by standard post after dispatch within 3 – 7 working days (Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Gladstone, Rockhampton, Mackay, Townsville, Cairns, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne), Adelaide (6 -7 business days), Regional South Australia (8 -10 business days), Tasmania (6 -7 business days), Perth (7 – 9 business days). Regional Western Australia within 10+ working days. (Business days are defined as Monday to Friday excluding Public Holidays.) The first business day is calculated from and including the date after it is dispatched.
For very remote areas such as Port Hedland, Karratha, Tom Price WA, Coober Pedy SA, Nhulunbuy, Tennant Creek or Alice Springs NT or Birdsville, Cooktown or Bamaga QLD the delivery may take between 14 – 21 working days by standard post. Christmas Island WA 6798 and Norfolk Island NSW 2899 will depend on whether your parcel is ready for placement onto the once or twice a week mail barge from the mainland. No delivery time frame can be calculated for these destinations which can take between 4 – 6 weeks to arrive.
Express shipping 1 – 3 business days to capital cities within Australia. (*conditions apply – see below “Products unable to be shipped via the Express method”)

Our network of Courier Companies

We are using a network of different courier companies to deliver our orders. Party Products Australia reserves the right to select the method of shipment and the courier company.
We have established a relationship with various courier companies to deliver your orders. We are using the following couriers:
* Australia Post
* Australia Post Express
* Fastway Couriers
* Star Track
* Air Express
* TNT Express

We reserve the right to select the method of shipment and the courier company. We will use all reasonable efforts to deliver your Products to you within the estimated delivery time indicated by those courier companies. But we do not guarantee that we will deliver within this time frame, as once the parcel has left our warehouse we have no control what happens to it.

We offer you 2 different shipping methods within Australia:


* Standard shipping within Australia only from $13.95 – see above for estimated delivery times
* Express shipping within Australia only from $17.95 within Australia Post Express Post networks.

If you require your order urgently select the Express Delivery method during checkout or contact us on 07 3076 0087 to get the best advice for your postcode.

Disclaimer: Next business day delivery only applies for destinations within the Australia Post Express Courier network. If your order is unusually large and therefore will incur higher than normal freight charges, we reserve the right to contact you to discuss payment of extra shipping charges.

If your delivery address falls outside the next Business Day delivery we will contact you with a quote price for your approval prior to shipping.

Important: Northern Territory is exempt from next business day Express Post delivery as all parts of NT fall outside of the Express Post network. By selecting the Express Delivery method for Northern Territory, ensures that your package goes via airplane instead of truck.

Products unable to be shipped via the Express method

We take no responsibility for any goods that may be damaged in transit when the order is shipped by Express Post. As these orders are sent in Express Post satchels we take every precaution to ensure the goods are protected however once the parcel leaves our warehouse we have no control over how the parcel is treated. We suggest to allow more delivery time and therefore choose standard delivery to avoid goods being damaged in transit. Please see above for standard delivery times to your state.
Unfortunately not all party items can use the Express Shipping method. For example all 10cm, 22cm and mini shaped air filled foil balloons are unable to be shipped by express post. The reason is that these items are dispatched inflated and they are too fragile to be transported in satchels.

All tablecloth rolls, Photo Props, Pinatas (excludes flat packed pinatas), Sign-in-Sheets, large cutouts and other large party decorations are not able to go via the Express method due to their size, shape and weight. All products are clearly marked in the description at point of ordering as to whether the item is suitable for transit in an Express Post satchel. If you choose a product that falls into the ‘NOT SUITABLE FOR EXPRESS POST’ category we will contact you primarily by email.

Excessive weight or size of a package

If your order contains excessive weight or is extra large we might occur extra charges from the courier companies. We have the right to contact you with a freight quote for your approval prior to shipment.

Dangerous Goods surcharge

Some items such as sparklers, party poppers and aerosol cans are subject to the Dangerous Goods Code. They have to be declared to the courier companies and will be shipped via special method on the road. Those items will incur additional shipping costs. We will highlight the products which would need to go via the dangerous shipping method clearly at the point of ordering.

If your order contains such items we have the right to contact you with a freight quote for your approval prior to shipment. Please note that all dangerous goods are NOT suitable for Express Post shipping.

Do you ship internationally?

Party Products Australia can ship your order anywhere in the world. All of our delivery charges need to be quoted individually for international orders.

We recommend that you add your items into the shopping cart as usual. Then start the checkout process and select as Delivery Method “Overseas-we will quote”. We will then contact you via email with the estimate to ship your order to your overseas destination. At that point you can accept the order or cancel it without occurring any charges to your credit card.

For international orders who is responsible for taxes and duties?

Please note that it is your responsibility to pay for any customs duties and taxes that may be incurred in your country. Most countries have a limit on the value of the goods before there are taxes due. This value varies from country to country and it is your responsibility to get your country specific facts, information and regulations prior to placing an order with us. Party Products Australia will not be responsible for fees/damages associated with non compliance.

Lost in transit

Courier companies handle millions of parcels everyday. It is possible that your package can get lost in transit. When we dispatch your order you will receive an email with the courier company website and a tracking number.

In the unlikely event that your package gets lost please contact the courier company directly, email sales@partyproducts.com.au or call Party Products Australia on 07 3076 0087 so we can help you locate it.

Note that we cannot replace your goods until an investigation has been completed by the courier service used to deliver those goods.

Title, Insurance & Risk

Ownership of the products shall remain with Party Products Australia, until payment is received in full and the package has left our warehouse. The risk in the products purchased will, unless otherwise agreed, pass to you upon pickup of a courier company to deliver the party items to you. Party Products Australia does not accept responsibility for any damages, losses or liability for whatever reason arising from:

1. Late delivery of an order;
2. Damage of the package during transfer.
